Get Involved: Community Resources for Families

Stay Connected and Empowered

At Small Stepz Academy, we believe that family engagement and community involvement are essential to the healthy development of children. We encourage our families to take an active role in local organizations that support children and families throughout Paterson and Passaic County.

Passaic County Council for Young Children (PCCYC)

The PCCYC is a parent-led, community-based group focused on improving the health, education, and well-being of children from birth to age 8. Parents and caregivers collaborate with local service providers to ensure programs reflect the real needs of families in our community.

Benefits of joining:

  • Connect with other families and community leaders

  • Help shape services and programs in your area

  • Receive access to free resources and events

For more info, visit: www.passaicccyc.org or contact your local Family Success Center.

Family Success Centers (FSCs)

Family Success Centers offer supportive services, workshops, and community events for families in a welcoming and inclusive environment. FSCs help build strong, healthy families and are a great place to meet others, gain parenting support, and find resources for food, housing, and more.

Local FSCs include:

  • Greater Paterson Family Success Center

  • Haledon Family Success Center

  • Prospect Park Family Success Center

United for Prevention in Passaic County (UPinPC)

UPinPC is a coalition of organizations and families working together to prevent youth substance use and promote mental wellness. They offer educational events, family nights, and community outreach activities.
